Neck Pain Treatment Essendon

Should I be worried about my neck pain?

It’s common to suffer pain and disability caused by a strained neck. At Radius Osteopathic, it’s a condition we frequently see, and treat.

chronic and acute neck painThe human neck is made of 7 bones, coupled together to form moveable joints. It’s a structure that needs to support the head, maintain a gentle curve, and allow a person to turn or bend in numerous directions. The neck also allows for free passage of nerves traveling between the brain, and distant areas of the body.

As it plays such a crucial role, it’s clear to see how a compromise to its structure can cause so many issues. Some of these include stiffness or pinching, pain spreading to shoulders or the upper back, as well as headaches, and pain or tingling in the upper limbs. Any injury to the neck could either be due to simple mechanical problems involving joints or muscles, or something more serious.

Seek professional help for your sprained neck pain Essendon

Due to this complexity, it is important to seek a professional who can take the time to properly diagnose any issue to do with neck pain. Such a diagnosis involves taking a case history, functional tests, and x-rays or scans if necessary. With a diagnosis established, our osteopaths use skilfully applied techniques to improve overall function of the neck and spine. At Radius Clinic, we can tailor our techniques to ensure our clients are comfortable with their treatment, which also encompasses self help strategies, and exercise rehabilitation to empower, a well as educate clients on how to best manage their condition.
