What is Swedish Relaxation Massage?
Relaxation massage uses five basic massage movements. The aim is to increase blood flow and remove toxins from the muscles. We always work towards the heart. The massage therapist includes these techniques into a flowing massage session. It leaves the patient physically and emotionally relaxed.
What massage techniques are used?
Swedish massage uses five styles of long, flowing strokes to massage. The five basic strokes are:
- Effleurage (sliding or gliding).
- Petrissage (kneading to release toxins from the muscles by lifting, separating, and rolling them).
- Tapotement (rhythmic tapping), friction (cross fiber) and vibrate/shake.
What are the benefits of Swedish Massage?
