Radius Osteopathy Essendon osteopaths

work with your body as a whole. That is, we focus on how your bones, joints, muscles, nerves, circulatory system, connective tissue and internal organs function as a whole body unit. Our Essendon osteopaths use skillful hands-on technique to correct problems of the body that cause and maintain pain.

These techniques may include deep tissue massage, joint release, posture balance and exercise. Osteo treatment is based on a thorough exam and diagnosis. We aim to get to the root cause of your problem and prevent it coming back.

How can your osteopaths help me?

An osteopath is a primary care therapist with the skill and training to assess your complaint. Your osteo can assess structural changes that may lead to stiffness and function issues, due to:

  • on going injury
  • poor posture and decreased range of movement
  • muscle spasm
  • Follow on effects of hip, knee and foot problems

What conditions do your osteopaths treat?

  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Sporting complaints
  • Muscle pain
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Sciatica
  • Tennis elbow
  • Whiplash
  • Disc problems
  • Frozen shoulder
  • RSI
  • Work injury
  • Shin Splints

By forming a unique course of treatment, your osteopath will also provide a program to prevent the problem coming back.

What training does an osteopath have?

Osteopaths must complete a 5 year degree course and be approved by the Osteopathic Registration Board (AHPRA) in order to practise in Australia.

How long will the treatment take?

1st consult – A case history is taken, exam and treatment may take up to 1 hour.

A follow up standard treatment may require 30 – 45 minutes.

Can I claim this treatment on my private health?

Yes, rebates can be claimed on the spot with all private health insurers. Our Osteos are TAC and Workcover approved.
